Is there life after Social Media

The title above might be a little odd since writing a blog is still part of Social Media. I am talking about Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr. I posted on Facebook that I am leaving social media and I hope to do it permanently but who knows what I will do. I deleted each of the apps I listed above from my phone.
Now why would I do such a thing. It's a huge distraction. I'm always like, I wonder who liked the pic I posted, I mean it's my kids so I know I will get a lot of likes. Then it's the continuous scrolling...
...oh nice pic...
...drama...
...drama...
...politics...
...drama...

...what do the colors of nose hairs tell you about love of your life...
...oh nice pic...
...AWWW Cute Animals...
You all know what I mean. Next thing I know 10, 20, 60 minutes have passed and I haven't done jack squat.
We have lost the art of interacting with people, a good friend on mine replied to my last post: Amen Brother. And I truly mean that. Social media has distanced all of us from whats truly real in our lives. Real hand shakes, Real hugs, Real conversation. Instead of ( LOL ) you actually here the person Laugh out Load. Camp fires cant happen on facebook. Cookouts cant happen on twitter. Eat the evidence feasts cant happen on snapchat. And really How do we think as people that we are so damn important that we have to tell the world everything we do everyday we do it.
Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the pics of my friends and such with their kids and it's a great way to keep in touch so I'm sure I will probably not get rid of it. I get a lot of my news and information from social media also.
I have dreams, I have always had dreams but that's about it, I never make them into goals. I really want to change that. I want to read more, I want travel more, I want to worship more, I want to fish more, I want to learn another language and I can't do these when I'm on social media.
So let's see where this journey leads me, I welcome all who care to follow.

Did you all miss me!

Sorry folks it's been soooo long since I did a post. Oh wait, who am I kidding, no one follows this blog.

On my way to work today I was listening to a Tim Ferris PODCAST that has Seth Godin on it. One of his suggestions is that everyone should blog and do it once a day. That is the reason I am posting today. Nothing spectacular happened. Let's see if I can continue. Maybe the reason I stopped is because I don't think anyone will care about this blog, so why should I care. Well I need to remember that I don't care if anyone cares, just do this because I think it will help me become a better person. Who knows, maybe my grammar will get more gooder.

Procrastination: Looks like I have become quite the pro at this. Money is tight so today the nice officer gave me a break and only gave me 1 ticket instead of 2. I guess I like to see how far I can push in not paying for something but only in the end I have to pay for it anyway and then pay more because I didn't pay for it sooner. Yeah me! Until next time folks.

Ahhh....the smell of pine tar.

Well actually I can't smell it yet but I know it's in the air, no not Pine trees. BASEBALL, the greatest sport ever invented. Yes I know some of you who read this will be like...BS, but there is no other sport that has been given the title of 'America's Pastime'. So take that!
Let me explain a little history of my baseball fandom. I haven't always been a fan of this sport, in June 2015 I will be celebrating my 8th year as a fan. That means I was in my middle 30's. Maybe I was a closet baseball fan before then you might say and I would say you are WRONG! Want to know what my thoughts of baseball were before this time. Let's just say it was boring, dull, long and it never held my attention. When I was a kid back in the early 80's I would collect baseball and football cards and I remember the '82 Brewers being in the World Series, watching a game or 2 with my father but that's as far as it ever got. I also remember going to some Appleton Foxes games. Now that I am a complete spazoid fan of this great sport it makes me wonder what greats I did see at these games. I doubt I will ever know.
I have no explanation of what happened to me back in June of 2007 other than some of my father finally got in me. I was watching a Cubs game with my father-in-law and something just snapped inside me. I also have to give credit to a friend of mine who is a huge Brewer fan. When I say I'm a spazoid fan of this sport, it doesn't just mean I'm a Brewer fan. Yes that is my favorite major league team. We have a great park, great fans and the greatest radio broadcaster of all time in Bob Uecker. I really would love to see them win a championship while he is still the broadcaster. I love every aspect of the game and no salaries is not part of the game, it's part of...oh never mind, that is another post in itself. I could watch a little league game with as much excitement as a major league game. It's how the players shift differently with the batters. How the umpires control the game. It's just a great sport and I love it. It's great that I work in the city that the Timber Rattlers are in and I hope to see a lot of their games this season and plus with them being in the farm system for the Brewers, it's a win win.
Right now it's Spring Training and it means that all the teams have a clean slate. On each team there are players who actually believe they will win the World Series. Look at last year, it was actually 2 Wild Card teams who went to the Big Show. I love to listen to the baseball pundits spin their take on who will win and who won't. I love it when they say a team is building for the year 2017. That is all just hog wash to me. I am going to have my almost 4 year old pick from a hat for each division and see how close she comes. If she does really well I expect to become famous. Some year I hope to make it out to Spring Training especially in Arizona to see the Brewers but I wouldn't mind going to Florida either. There should be games on just about each day now until the end of October. You got to love that. I have no picks myself except that I want the Brewers to win it of course.
PLAY BALL!!!!!!

Introduction

Hello Blog world, why should there be another person doing a Blog, well to be honest there probably shouldn't. There is nothing special about me and I can prove it. I'm sure we have all heard the saying "God loves everyone", see nothing special where He loves me more or less.
So why am I doing a Blog then, plain and simple, I can. Sometimes I feel I am going to explode if I don't spout out my opinion and remember above all else here this whole entire Blog is "My Opinion". I am no scholar on anything other than life as a man who has been around since '69. I will try and be cognizant of everyone who can read this but be warned, I will probably offend people with topics and my language at times. I heard a saying years ago "When you talk with someone and they are not either pissed or happy when you are done talking, there was no need for what you said". There will be all kinds of topics that I will discuss. Some will be because I am Irked and others will be to expose something and others to give praise.
I am a father of 2 awesome kids that I love more than anything who is trying to make sense of this whole world and I hope to make a difference.
